My art is my journey through life...
It is my discoveries, my spontaneity, my passions, and my fears. I don't believe in defining myself as a specific style of artist, and the more I grow and experiment with different kinds of media, the more it feels like I am learning about a different side of my self. Art has been the one form of self-expression I could turn to no matter what, and a way to capture my ideas, dreams, and fantasies in tangible form.
I consider myself a fusion of inspirations, pulling heavily from my Turkish heritage and incorporating it with more modern concepts. Any sketch or initial idea I come up with rarely resembles the finished product, as I am a firm believer in letting a piece of work evolve into its final state... no matter how far I may stray from the original idea. Some of my best work has come as the result of random bursts of creativity, without necessarily having a fully-developed thought behind it.
Instead of trying to logically control or understand the way in which I approach my art, I have always found surrendering to my moments of creativity much more freeing and a more pure form of self-expression.
